We are looking for highly motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic individuals to join the newly established Tsankov lab located on the 14th floor of the Icahn building in the upper east side of Manhattan. Our co-located wet and dry space gives lab members the option of being cross-trained in both computational analysis and experiments, with access to state-of-the-art single cell genomics technologies and analysis tools. Our close collaborations with clinicians at Mount Sinai, the Broad Institute, and Harvard Medical school creates a superb, translationally-minded, and exciting training environment.
Desired skills/experiences

In general, we are always seeking individuals that have:
  • A genuine love for science and people, hardworking, desire to innovate and tackle challenging problems.
  • Abilities to think creatively, work independently and within a team.
  • Training/exposure to next-generation and single cell sequencing technologies and/or genomic analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Programming/scripting skills in R, Matlab, Python/Jupyter, Perl, Unix, LSF etc.
  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in computer science, biological sciences, or other relevant quantitative discipline.
